RAG's comments:
Strategy-intensive game! Everyone goes through 7 steps during each turn, which allow you to make use of the facilities of existing buildings to increase your resources, such as timber, gold, stone, food and cloth, construct new buildings, collect rental fees from those who use your buildings, activate buildings to collect money, royal points and resources, etc. The game consists of 3 phases, with multiple turns in each phase.
Not too long a game, yet filled with extreme challenges to my tiny brain! So far, to those whom I have introduced this game to, all find it fantastic and challenging!

Although this game seems complicated from the manual, thanks for recommending and teaching us Caylus. Unlike most boardgames, there is no element of luck. Instead the game play is dependent on superior planning/strategy and sabotages among players. Cool!
ReplyDeleteHi Des!It was our pleasure sharing with you this game. We must admit that it took us quite a while to learn this game initially too. But, like what you mentioned, it is a fantastic game. Especially for hardcore boardgamers like yourself.=)
